1. Picnic at Homestead Dam
Benoni, which is known as the ‘City of Lakes’, has many beautiful aquatic sites that allow you and your friends to enjoy some relaxation outdoors. The stunning Homestead Dam is the ideal spot to have a picnic or a braai, or simply cast a line and relax this spring in the East Rand.

2. Wild Waters
With the weather heating up, it’s time to find a place to cool down, and Boksburg’s ‘beach within reach’ – Wild Waters waterpark – is the perfect family day outing. With the necessary Covid-19 restrictions in place, visitors are invited to let loose on the many water slides, enjoy a picnic, or grab a bite to eat at the on-site restaurant.

3. Timeline Airsoft & Laser Tag Centre
If you’re looking to indulge in your competitive side then put your game face on and get to Benoni’s Timeline Airsoft and Laser Tag Centre. This outdoor venue consists of an 8 000 square metre, full-size field, complete with buildings, roads, alley and wrecks for ducking and diving behind during laser tag. The event is open to anyone 14 years and older, with visitors encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring a picnic along.
